Run-of-the-mill router
10 of 12 found this helpful The revision I bought is compatible with OpenWRT and LEDE. I ended up flashing LEDE on it (v2.0 with S/N starting with 215C).
On the negative side, I had to flash DD-WRT first, then an old vendor firmware, then the firmware of my choice. Why create so much trouble for the rightful owner of the device?
Also, major hardware changes between revisions are not helpful. I want to know what I'm buying. How can a review for a device with one chipset be relevant to a device with another chipset? Are we running out of numbers or something?
To be fair, other vendors do it to. TP-LINK is just following the common practice, and missing an opportunity to rise above the crowd.
The range and the speed are pretty good, certainly better compared to other routers I tried.

Needs unlock on every power cycle, otherwise pretty nice
Quite pricey and needs tricks to work with unapproved carriers. Gevey provides a solution for unlocking, but it's not exactly transparent. The procedure needs to be repeated every time the phone is power cycled. I needed to get a real micro-SIM to make it work; a card make by the cutter didn't work and there was no way to find out what was wrong. I didn't really test the features yet, but the interface is very intuitive. The battery live if reasonable. The signal quality is OK, even when I hold the phone with the left hand, but I didn't try known bad spots.

No dual layer support
It's a decent player with support for file system listings, which is convenient. No need to convert video files to the proper video DVD format. However, I was totally disappointed by the lack of support for DVD+R DL (dual layer) disks. I don't keep originals in my car, I make copies, and it's easier to copy the DVD as is. But to use this player, I'll need to run my collection through DVD Shrink to make it fit ordinary DVD+R disks. That's inconvenient and time consuming. Such shortcoming should have been noted clearly in the product description.
