Excellent quality value and features
2 of 2 found this helpful As an experienced user, I purchased this receiver to replace a broken Pioneer receiver in a moderate secondary surround system. Big upgrade. The Denon is ideal for a moderate system as it does not have pre outs (except for 2 subwoofers). This does not allow for future addition of external amplification or the use of large speakers. It however does a very nice job of powering 5 medium sized EFE Technology speakers (rated up to 175W) providing beautiful sound. The sound is fully detailed, crystal clear even and neutral from bass through tweeters, 7 channels at 95 W @ 8 ohms fully discrete. Plenty of undistorted volume for a moderate system. The features are up to date including Atmos, HEOS, Bluetooth, 4K, Audyssey, streaming, multi zone etc. Inputs for everything including fiber optics and turntable and programable. Set up is easy and there is an assistant for new users. I had only one glitch that was quickly answered by the downloadable extensive manual. The remote is easy to use. Multiple sound modes are available with my favorite multiple channel stereo for music as my surround speakers are also larger bookshelves and good quality. The auto decoding of the input signal is also very nice as the unit’s display is large and easy to see (unlike Marantz tiny display who is Denon’s sister Co., sorry Marantz; my favorite). Can be configured for many multi-speakers set up arrangements.
A seasoned user who appreciates what Denon has delivered. I highly recommend the Denon AVR-X2500H, 5 stars.
