Excellent Speaker. Get 'Em While You Still Can
1 of 1 found this helpful I recently purchased this pair of Q100s as an open-box. The speakers look absolutely brand new. I'm using them for surround duty in my 5.1 system along with the r700s and 200c, and they blend in perfectly.
At a retail price of 549, the Q100 are a good value. They are extremely detailed and clear. They lack the low end, but come on, they have a 5.25" woofer and aren't an audiophile grade speaker. The uni-q driver really gives a wide sound stage and provides great detail for such a low price.
These speakers would do great for a small to mid size room for front and surround duty, and blend in well with a good sub. The front port gives you more flexibility where to place them.
I'll be keeping my eyes open for more deals as I'd like another pair to eventually set up a 7.1 system. I highly recommend the Q100s while you can still get them at close-out prices.
