plastic around connector a bit too chunky
I had to trim off some of the plastic to get it to fit the space around the output but it was easy to do and they otherwise seem good

Perfect to connect a keyboard to an iPhone / iPad, no need for powered USB hub.
Used to connect a digital piano (Technics SX-P50) to a recent iPad and an iPhone 6 and it works perfectly with Flowkey and Joy Piano apps with no need for a powered USB hub. Just need the apple camera connection cable. Possible that a more demanding/dense midi data flow from a synthesiser might need more power than a iPad can provide and you need a powered hub but I would say it's worth trying without.

Doesn't spin freely. Doesn't seem high quality for such a high price
No makers or quality mark and could be 5p from China with a 1000% mark up for all i can tell. The cheap bearing in my sons spinner span more freely than this.
