STIHL Strimmer Cord - Square 3mm
I was previously using cheap strimmer cord, it breaks prematurely, meaning you have to fiddle around to reset the cord length. It would split and fray at the ends, when that occurs, it is effectively blunt, meaning its very hard to cut, thus having to rev the strimmer engine furiously to get anywhere.
Using Stihl 3mm square, the first thing you notice is how sharp it seems, it cuts with the engine on tick over.
It lasts longer, so you don't have to keep fiddling around with the adjustment of the cord.
It doesn't fray, it just wears at the ends, which means the ends are thinner and even sharper.
To sum up, Faster cut, so the job is done in less time. Less fiddling with the adjuster, less revving the engine which means the cord is under reduced strain, so lasts longer, plus less petrol is used and less wear on your strimmer.
