Connector would not mate to keyboard

I’m an experienced electronics technician, and have replaced many components on many computers. But despite multiple attempts I could not get the computer ribbon cable connector to mate with the purchased keyboard. I think the rest of the keyboard was of good quality and I appreciate the quick refund. This was probably a one off problem with the supplied keyboard.
