Not exceedingly impressed
Though the PS3 is expected to be an "entertainment hub"... it's a game system.
I wouldn't consider connecting it as a blu-ray player in my living room because then you can either play a game OR watcha movie. I leave the games to the kids, with their TV in their 'play room'. I guess overall it's a nice game system. Still, not impressed. Other than watching blu-ray movies, I've found no reason to upgrade from a PS2 other than Sony's planned obsolesence... games are no longer being written for the PS2.
I am NOT a gamer. This is just an overpriced kids toy.

Insignia NS-DV2G - great value!
This is a very nice device! The screen is clear, has 2 headphone outputs - either to share the tunes or to accomodate different carrying cases.
Pretty simple controls. Music can be either synchronized VIA Windows Media Player or simply drag-n-drop the MP3/WAV/etc... files to the player since it shows up in Windows XP as a mass storage device. The drag-n-drop is the MAIN reason I got this device. I personally dislike any device that REQUIRES specific software to load music.
The MicroSD slot makes it easy to customize the device for different users, store movies/video or huge playlists.
The Standard USB charge/sync port also allows me to use my telephone USB charger to keep the device fully charged without always connecting it to my PC. The ONLY downfall is that no matter what the USB port is connected to, it thinks it is synchronizing... so you can't plug it in to the AC charger and use it connected to a home stereo. You can't charge it while playing... At least not that I have been able to figure out.
I've only had it for a day or two, but so far the impression is excellent.
For the price, it's a GREAT device and would recommend it !!

Nice item... took a little fiddling and a factory reset to get it working. HP no longer offers the "standalone" Jetadmin software, but that's on HP. Trying to use the direct console to set a network name yields just a blank screen and there is no easy way to configure the device without it. It comes up fine and works with DHCP, but that can lead to problems when the device restarts and the IP changes. I will keep battling with HP to get a network name set.
