1 of 1 found this helpful One of the finest books, out of the dozens I have read, on the battle. The intricate detail of the hows and whys of the decisions throughout the historic months of June/July 1863 will not be learned any better from any other book.

Battle of Gettysburg
Excellent, short synopsis of this great battle. One hour read, along with compelling pictures. For the beginning historian or fan this book is perfect.

Great kids book.
This was my kid's (and my) favorite book when they were young. It reads like a poem and the illustrations are awesome. We read this book so many times that we had it memorized. Wore our copy out so I had to by a new one for my new grand-daughter. A new generation will grow up loving this book.
