Best plain rings for 1" scope and picatinny rail-all steel!
2 of 2 found this helpful These are the best non-OEM rings for picatinny rail mount as they are well made using all steel (not that cheap/flimsy aluminum) and use two screws each side to hold scope on!

Archos 504 160GB -too darn propietary!
2 of 4 found this helpful The Archos 504 160GB is in serious need of revision. When compared to the older AV420/480 models, this is a classic example of a company sucking the value right out of a product, i.e., a good thing gone bad. It is not the fact that this DVR/video recorder player doesn't have a good picture. Unlike the AV700 which is a bad attempt at going too large with a highly pixelated screen and cumbersum/clunky size. No, the 504 is ruined by Archos going proprietary. All the unti arrives with is a highly proprietary intergal set of unique ports. These ports connect to all the various additionally sold devices that are needed to complete the tasks that the base unti is advertised and designed to perform! Selling everything needed as a add-on is pure profitering crap. This collection a various and delicate push-on temporary gadgets results in an entire bag stuff that must be lugged around with the main unit. In other words, the hard drive/LCD unit cannot even be CHARGED without an additional and rather delicate push-on gadget! The push-on plastic docking adaptor and an a/c transformer is sold as an optional device and also has the USB port needed to connect the rather thick main unit to your PC. The unit cannot record TV shows (or anything else) without an ~$100.00 stationary docking station or a protable docking adaptor at ~70.00. There is of course alos a plethora of cables and connectors needed...just to do what the darn thing is advertised to do. This is a huge price to pay for not much more than the AV420/480 that had everything included and no push-on plastic parts! The screen is only 1/3 longer than the AV420/480 and no taller. The case stinks so there is another cost. All told I've put nearly $1000.00 in mine and now I have to pull it around in my little red wagon.
