Usual quality product from Hammerite

More of a smooth finish than hammered and took 3 coats to get a satisfactory covering. Hammerite prone to sagging so better to be patient and apply multiple thin layers. Gold is nice and bright ... someone described it as antique gold when dry which is accurate. Used it on a garden bistro set and very happy with the result.

Lightweight, bright, good colour warmth. Diffuser works a treat.

Connectors to daisy chain or link via cable. Rewireable connector fiddly but allows exact cable length at no extra cost. Nice slimline design. These were a replacement for other LEDs which were very directional and created a halo ... no such problems with these units. Good warm light which is diffused. Plenty of bits in the packaging; 2 types of mounting brackets and plenty of screws. Due to the depth of our plinths I had to mount these flat (light shining towards the wall) with the switch to the right. This was the only way to orientate the fitting to access the switch, however, my power supply came in from the left ... wired it in and the unit still worked. The only problem it left me with was the last unit linked had no blanking plate meaning there were live pins exposed. The blanking plate supplied only fits one end. I cut down the moulded connector, removed the metal parts and siliconed it in place to make it safe. Slight design fault ... but still an excellent product.
