New 1.2mm PVC 10.5' Inflatable Boat Tender Raft Dinghy With Floor Gray

Inflation valve factory defect.

While the boat looked fine when opened and laid out on a carpet floor, when I tried to inflate it I found that there was a factory defect in the valves. That is, when you want to top off the chambers and the foot pump hose is removed from the valve, instead of maintaining the pressure, the valve let's the pressurized air blow out. To stop it you have to reach into the valve and twist it. By the time you do that, he tube is no longer pressurized! According to the manual the pump and valve should not operate in this manner and there is nothing the owner can do to correct it. It is a factory defect. I've been using inflatables for perhaps 20 years and the first of many I've had that have had this problem. The values and hose end fitting look fine but just don't work as they are supposed to work. Hopefully the manufacturer will correct the problem because otherwise it appears to be a nice boat and at a very good price. But if you can't "top off" the pressure in the tubes as is normally required on inflatables that's definitely not good; not safe. Company will return money in full due to factory defect.
