Works well once spaced away from mounting.
It seems to be well made, with good fixings, but spoilt by the mechanism fouling on the gatepost. As the mechanism pivots to close, it fouls the gatepost to which it is fitted, often sticking half-way. The frame needs to be slightly longer to move the mechanism away from the post. I have spaced this with a washer behind each fixing hole, and it is now working perfectly. The washers will embed themselves into the wooden post, so it will need a plate instead, to spread the load. A little work in the garage, but many customers will not have the ability or facilities to do this.

Very pleased with it.
This replaced an N97. I like a full keyboard but the N97 always disappointed. This C7-00 is easier to use than expected, despite the small on-screen keys. It has a lot of features that I will never use, but as a phone and for text messages it works well, battery lasts ok.
If you connect it to Nokia suite on the computer, it will prompt to update the operating software to Symbian Belle, which I did. This later system is more graphic (prettier) but works well. For instructions on Belle, I was advised to download the manual for a Nokia 700, so no need to just guess how it works.
Generally I'm very happy with the phone. One niggle, like the N97 and E71 before it, it is slow to lock onto satellites for the navigation. Connecting to a Nokia LD-3W bluetooth GPS receiver fixes this.

Great smartphone, easy to use and own.
1 of 1 found this helpful Easy to use with flip out keyboard, although the keyboard lights up, making it more difficult to see unless dark! Can't seem to find out if I can subdue this. Mostly easy to set up and simple to use.
Reading forums, these can give issues with poor signal strength on phone and GPS. Both are fixable, mine was under warranty. (Nokia warranty is 2 years in UK) Ask specifically. (Sellers, get it fixed first.)
Bad points: can't get rid of the annoying Nokia welcome tune as it starts up. Be careful where you turn it on if attention is not desired. (Meetings, etc.)
