Entertaining, for the most part.
Some of the items are hurt by the style of th time. The 1800's articles on machines playing chess become lost in their verbiage.

Soltis Attacks Defense
This is an excellent book on a subject that is not covered by well by most Masters. I highly recoomend this book to players rated 1900-2300. Alex Dunne
