I wanted to love this but was disappointed
1 of 1 found this helpful I was looking forward to trying this sunscreen as it takes ages to get the stuff I usually use from Japan or Korea. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations of a product from Eucerin.
The product is factor "50+" UVB and 4* UVA (I would have liked 5*, but whatever). I have very oily skin that is prone to bad breakouts. On the positive side, this didn't make me break out any more than usual. It goes on quite nicely but is very liquid (low viscosity). It dries fairly quickly and was ok to put makeup on after the min 8 mins I leave between applying and putting on makeup (this stops the sunscreen from moving and reduces the risk of compromising sun protection). I have white fair-medium skin and when I applied it left a white cast, although this did lessen significantly after a minute or two. I didn't feel it "mattified" my complexion, but immediately after applying it my skin did feel sort of soft. After I wore it for a while it sometimes felt a bit chalky.
It was ok for the first couple of hours but then it was not good. It felt like the sunscreen was sitting on my skin with a layer of grease underneath it. I was far from matte and I was shiny, greasy and my skin felt gross. It was too bad for blotting to be a solution. It made me feel as if my skin was greasier than it normally is and I stopped using it when I noticed the pattern.
Another problem I had was that it would 'pill' really badly, even when I didn't combine it with other products. I may have been too heavy-handed, but I don't have time to be delicate with my sunscreen every morning. I've used plenty of other brands (usually Asian skincare) that have high protection but none of these problems). From my experience, I really can't recommend this product for anyone with oily or oil-combination skin.
