Cheaply made.
I wasn't expecting much for the price, but I was still disappointed. The plastic lugs on the door of the battery compartment disintegrated when I put batteries in for the first time and tried to close it.
Basically I threw it away without ever trying it out, so I can't comment on how good or bad it was for sharpening things.

Value for money

It's not a x30 as advertised.
The term "night vision" is misleading for those who think they are buying some military style light enhancing technology.
Now onto the positives.
For the money these monoculars are outstanding value for money. And I mean OUTSTANDING!
The quality of the image is close to something that is sold at many times the price.
As mentioned above the magnification is probably around X10. But for bird watching you wouldn't want more than that anyway. My wife's £300 Canon binoculars are not that much better than this item.
It's lightweight, but sturdily built. So what if you drop it in a river, or crack a lens. At this price it's a throw away item. Hell, buy two, just to have one in reserve.
