Neat solution for DCC decoder lighting
If you're converting model railway locos to DCC operation, this resistor board offers a really neat and simple solution for wiring up LED lighting that doesn't include its own resistors.

Surprisingly good tool
I was a little sceptical about its claims but the moss remover rake works pretty well. It still takes a fair amount of effort to use but it's an awful lot easier than using a rake and a lot cheaper than buying or hiring a motorised scarifier.

Excellent WiFi mesh repeater
I changed to another ISP recently and they provided me with a Fritz 7530 router. I was so impressed with it that I decided to purchase a Fritz 3000 repeater to create a mesh WiFi system. It was a little tricky linking the 3000 back to the 7530 over a wired connection (rather than the default 5GHz radio channel) but once setup everything worked like a dream. I now get WiFi coverage for the whole house with just these two devices rather than the three units I needed with my previous mesh system. The Fritz web-based UI affords a very high level of configuration as well as useful statistics. Recommended.
