Foreigner’s best album, period
Although I believe “4” was their best selling album, a check of the liner notes on a copy I recently received showed they had as many as eight session artists participate in its making (including the tenor sax legend Jr Walker). Double Vision is a hard rocking album with veritable classics. Still my favorite Foreigner album of all time with original band lineup. I feel lucky that I was able to purchase a CD of it.

Good music, too much “studio magic”
1 of 1 found this helpful It is obvious Mick Jones and Lou Gramm put all their heart and soul into “4.” I was shocked however to read in the liner notes there were as many as eight session players on the album. I don’t think Donald Fagan and Walter Becker used that many on any Steely Dan album. Regardless “4” is deserving of all its accolades despite having been promoted as a four piece band at the time.
