Its all real
This anime series makes a hauntingly accurate prediction about vampires, politics, and representative social dynamics of society. In a way this series represents the publics imagination about a very real phenomenom in the esoteric/occultism/conspiratorial realm that is "being a vampire" or "harvesting energy/emotions of other people" like "a reptilian". Is it the nazis, the Vatican, and the British Crown duking it out? This isn't the most accurate description of the problem. This is not a "hidden/secret dogwhistle" about a group of people beyond people that engage in literal harvesting or syphoning of *spiritual energies* of the human being. Anyone can be them. This is possible in modern day society both directly and remotely - this is the current threat the human race faces.
