Simply Amazing.....
This Channel 4 DVD shows some truely death defying, vomit enducing jumps as followers of the movement known as Le Parkour, Urband Freestyle, or Free Running around the UK. Sebastien Foucan, one of the founders of the movement in Urban Paris, and a number of the UK's top Free Runners take part in a stomach churning tour of some of the UK's most iconic landmarks and then run and jump on, off and around them!!!! Included in the tour are the Forth Rail Bridge, the Giants Causeway, the Millenium Stadium and Birminghams ICC. Even if you have never heard of this sport before you cannot help but be amazed at the feats on show in this feature length DVD. Followers of the sport will also find plenty to enjoy here with interviews and training sessions also included as extras on the DVD. On the whole this is one of my favourite DVD's which can be viewed over and over.

Not Up To First 2 Series Standards
I am a huge fan of The Royle Family from the BBC, however this is the worst of the 3 series that was released. A lot of the jokes that were done in the first 2 series are again repeated in this series andit just seems a little like they were running out of ideas which is probably why this was the last full series filmed. That said there are still some classic episodes here, especially the Christmas Special which sees Emma's parents coming round to vist the Royle family home. Some of the lines shared betwenn Jim and Emma's Dad are absolutely hilarious. If you liked the first 2 series then don't hesitate, buy it now, just don't expect the same originality seen in the 1st and 2nd series.

Good 4 Part Series
There are a lot of documentaries around on DVD but not many that concentrate on the weather. This is a shame as I personally find the weather fascinating. This series explores 4 aspects of the weather each of which being concentrated on in each episode. These are Hot, Cold, Wet and Wind. The series is presented by Donal MacIntyre who may be o David Attenborough he certainly is a very good presenter who is prepared to get his hands dirty. In this series he places himself in the worlds largest wind tunnel, in front of a flooding reservoir and also into a giant freezer! Each episode goes into plenty of technical detail that is excellently presented for the layman. There are also many case studies of real life examples. On the whole this is a good series, the only real critisism being that the extras are not really worth having on there and that I would have liked to see a couple more episodes.
