First time jam maker does good!
I have been looking for a kit for a while as my dad makes amazing marmalade and was very keen to get started straight away! I did a bit of research & picked this as it had everything (except fruit) included & looked easy to use for a first timer !
I just used a large saucepan I already had, no need for a special jam pan, it took about 1KG of strawberries and just the juice of a lemon & that's it ... nothing else and made the most amazing jam, it's gorgeous.
I gave my dad a jar and he was very impressed!
It's a fab kit and I think perfect for a present / stocking filler for a Christmas gift!
(Just a note I found during my research, do a rolling boil for a few minutes this apparently activates the pectins in the special sugar which makes the home made low calorie jam)
