A different side of a beloved author

Unlike many of Lewis Grizzard's books, this one was light on humor and aimed more for the heart. It's obvious the emotional and physical loss of his father, much of it to the bottle, was hard on a young boy who bore the man's name and idolized him. It is still a good read, but a different kind of read from an author known mainly for his humor work.

Classic family entertainment

Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda in a love story/comedy that resonates all these years later. This was surely the inspiration for the Brady Bunch and the idea was wonderful. Mix two large families and watch as the fur flies and the fun begins. A truly warm and enjoyable film that never grows old.

Affordable, good quality reprint editions of classic superhero adventures.

DC comics did fans and comics historians alike a tremendous service when they began the Chronicles books, providing affordable collections of reprint stories for the classic characters. Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, the Flash and others have benefited from this treatment and the reproductions are good quality, allowing a wonderful glimpse into the earliest days of these classic character's adventures. These collections are highly recommended to any fan.
