Practical update
The unit itself is good quality and is bright to use. The main weakness is the clamp . There is a lot of weight and strain placed here and so needs be really good . The version here is average which means you need s good thick robust surface to clamp too .

New user
Very easy to set up and insert SIM card using the quick guide . The long instructions are on cd - tricky as my laptop does not have CD player anymore . Cannot see how to change ring tones from phone menu and cannot access cd instructions ... um

What is inside the switch
I was disappointed to find the unit has no separate cable grippers that you can screw to tighten and prevent the cables being pulled out .It relies on the screws for the outer case to squeeze and grip cables and hold switch together . Most disturbing is the inside terminals do NOT have any screw clamps either , it has metal wings that either bend over and crimp on to the wires or perhaps solder on . As no instructions included I can only presume , and as the inside connections lack internal shielding , I would constantly worry that a yank on the cable externally could disconnect the internal connection and short across . I like the outside and the switches themselves function well.
