ALMOST LIKE OLD TIMES....
1 of 1 found this helpful I originally purchased this cartidge for me shortly after my 8 year old daughter got her Nintendo DS. Who has the time or money to go to an arcade and play these games, let alone find them in an arcade? This collection of original games we old timers use to play in the arcades is great! The games sound and look the same, except for the small size and the fact that I'm not running out of quarters. My only regret is that the Nintendo DS (and I'm sure it would be the same for GBA) is so small that a real "physical" player such as myself has difficulty keeping it still enough to see the screen - this is especially true for Ms Pac Man & Galaga. This is one great advantage to the large game units...they are impossible for players to move during play. Also, the simple ball joy stick was much easier to operate than the cross-shaped navigation control on the NDS. I don't play as well as I did, but then I don't need to...I can play as often as I want. Well, until my little girl asks for it back! If I was better with the controls I would give this cartridge an EXCELLENT rating. But, due to the limitations of the controls on the NDS & GBA it makes fast play difficult. So, I rate it as GOOD. :)

One Night with the King
6 of 7 found this helpful One Night with the King is fairly accurate to the book of Esther. One big flaw is that a pagan custom, celebrated by Hadassah's parents and her, has been added to enhance the story. Jews of those days, who obediently followed God's Mosaic Law, did not celebrate birthdays as was the custom of pagan civilizations. This would have been in clear violation of the commandment "Thou shall have no other god before me." Also, the addition of the holographic necklace was a romantic notion, however, it is not in the book of Esther. Simply a touch of Hollywood. It was King Ahasuerus' (Xerxes' in the movie) love for Esther that saved her...not a necklace. Otherwise, the movie was true enough to the events and did a great job of interpreting the book of Esther. The sets and costumes are lavish and pleasurable to the eyes. This movie takes me back in time and gives me a real feel for what it might have been like to live during those times in a grand palace.
I bought this movie because I love the book of Esther and for the fabulous cast. The acting was superb. Pay movie channels just don't play these kinds of movies and I would have to wait years to see this, if ever. Also, the movie is morally clean and good for children to view for their supplemental spiritual education (with the exception of the flaws mentioned above, of course). For me, it was worth the cost and I will be seeing it again with my daughter.

TETRIS IS STILL AS FUN AS IN MY YOUTH!
My daughter just got a Nintendo DS Lite a couple of weeks ago. Since she has been so generous and shared it with me, I went online to find extra games for us to play. While searching for my own old favorites, I learned that Tetris DS is no longer in stores and very pricey. So, I found Tretris Worlds on a Game Boy Avanced game pak, which also works on DS Lite. It is a great alternative for those individuals who love Tetris, but don't want to pay $40 plus for the DS version. Fun games and many choices. I highly recommend it!
