Its Good
This headset has a great looking external sound card base, alot of options for the 7.1 sound, Great software, good drivers, works with windows 10 with Zero issues!! Overall i highly recommend it!
I've tried alot of other headsets & by far this one is better sounding!
Flaws that i've found personally annoying:
*The base only has red LED's so to hard to tell if muted or open mic.
*Mic can sound muffled BUT Asus working on software update to fix
*Headset ear cups could be a bit bigger better fit, pads around ears could use a bit more padding, the logo displayed on the cups is thing plastic so sound escapes & comes in the headset easier than other headsets - no noise canceling.
Strix 7.1 headset VS ROG 7.1 headset:
Cost compared to strix 7.1 is alot higher for basicly the same thing
*Strix has different coloured LED's so you can easily tell is muted or open.
*The Strix doesnt 100% work with windows 10 nor 100% of the time.
*The Strix headset is a better fit over ears but not above the head like the ROG one. The Strix headset is also easier to break. The ROG headset has a thicker cord to the headset than the Strix which i find good.
