Fitted it and it works as a spring like ...

Fitted it and it works as a spring like the old one.:) The troble I had was the gaps between these modern springs is large so my old spring compressors could only squash one turn that is not enough. I put the unassembled spring on and used the car weight to compress it then put the compressors across 2 turns and wiggled the top allen key bolt in to the hole on the car, put the nut on, released the compressors and bolted the top plate in position and torqued up the cetre bolt. Phew!
