Has great potential...
Decent value and looks good. A bit rough round the edges and tolerances are not tight. Read one reviewer saying they planned to take theirs apart and redo some finishing. About sums it up. Decent enough and could be brilliant. If it cost 20% more and the rough edges were sorted out this could be a no-brainer. until then be prepared for variance in finish quality. You may be super lucky and get a perfect one or you may get one that needs a bit of help...

Easily as good as hoped for - maybe slightly better even
1 of 1 found this helpful Last TV was a Panasonic but it while it was okay I did look at the usual suspects and nearly went for a Sony. I am sure the Sony would have been good but this is everything I could have hoped for. Source is a Virgin V6 and this has beautiful tonality. No eye-searing POP is a good thing. Contrast in shadows is awesome and all content looks good. Even some channels which can be a bot of a challenge (Horror channel for example) is nicely rendered. A very satisfying experience. Works okay in a very bright room. MUCH better than last TV in that respect.
It is easy to use but menus are not easily understood (and i was an AV tech for a while) and the on-screen explanations can be plain 'funny' sometimes.
Stand on the 50" is solid and has many options. Wifi connectivity is good and fast - I haven't bothered with ethernet - and YouTube and Netflix work well. I have Netflx on the V6 but the big Netflix button makes it easy to use.
I don't watch football so can't comment on motion other than tennis looks just fine to me (your results may be different) as does rugby/athletics and everything else I have watched.
Watching 4K YouTube is a stunning experience by the way.
The usual downfall is the speakers on very flat TVs but I have been quite satisfied. It is hooked up to the HiFi system but with that off and using the TV audio I am quite happy with the sound even when used fairly loud.
Love this TV and have no regrets.

Audio heaven
1 of 1 found this helpful Coming to these from highly regarded (for the price) Audio Technica ATH M50 closed back earphones.I like the depth of the bass with closed back and also the isolation.
These are closed back yet sound so much more open (but still isolating which is good). They are also a lot better finished than the ATs but at thrice the price (roughly) you would hope so.
I am listening to all of my music again as if it where new and much more new music as these things shine and can cope with anything. Superbly nuanced with space around instruments yet complete cohesion. A bit of heft to them - not too heavy - but very comfortable for long listening sessions. Hard to imagine things getting much better. Break-in time minimal.
They can cope with anything I throw at them.Rock, Folk, Indie, Acoustic. Electronica and every sub-genre therein.
Using them straight out of the Bluesound Node 2 so goodbye headphone amp.
Highly recommend these cans..
