One of Britain's Best Kept Secrets
I was introduced to Woods of Windsor for Men by a friend of mine I was visiting in Vancouver, British Columbia about 20 years ago. The scent he was wearing was so distinctive and seemed to receive so many compliments from both men and women that I couldn't help but ask what it was. Needless to say, after trying it for myself, I became a lifelong fan and don't intend to change anytime soon. It's virtually impossible to find in any retail store here in the US. If you want to be above the ordinary, then I suggest you try Woods of Windsor for Men ... you won't regret it.

Why I Love the Watch I Never Heard of ...
As a pilot, wearing a high-end, luxury timepiece such as a Brietling Chrono seemed to add to the allure of being a "Commander of the Sky"... and so, I had to have one. Admittedly, the Brietling is an exquisite watch and with all its' functions served me well...until I lost it one moonlit night on a beach in Kauai. Believe me, in spite of losing the watch, the night was worth it. Which brings me to the watch I've never heard of ... the Bertucci! As we mature, it's natural to simplify and so I began a search for a lightweight, tough, waterproof, accurate and attractive watch that's easy to read in the dark.The Bertucci A-2T is all that and more. It has a military look, but yet fashionable enough to wear with a sport coat or suit; and yes, it doesn't look like every other watch. Very reasonably priced too. Do I miss that Brietling? Not really, I actually receive as many compliments on the Bertucci as I did with the Brietling.

An Affordable Time Machine
A good antenna is essential to enjoy this radio! While it doesn't have the features and sensitivity of modern receivers, it's a time machine. There's nothing quite like sitting in the warm glow of the dial lights at night, slowly searching for a signal out of the night sky. Having the unit recapped and calibrated adds to both the value and enjoyment of this vintage receiver. Without question, there are better SWL radios out there, but no one will deny that the SX-99 is a great looking radio and fun to operate. Especially if you enjoy a bit of time travel every now and then.
