RICK SPRINGFIELD "VENUS IN OVERDRIVE": A SOLID ROCK CD!

Continuing to build on the momentum first created back in 1999 with his "Alive: The Greatest Hits" run at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and the 2004 "shock/denial/anger/acceptance" CD, Rick forges new ground with use of co-writer and bass player Matt Bissonette with "Venus In Overdrive". A well balanced and superbly written CD that is dedicated to the memory of 13 year-old Sahara Aldridge and Phyllis Bissonette, the CD is complimented by fresh hard rock material ("What's Victoria's secret?", "One Passenger") to the hypnotic "She" and "Oblivious" which explore love and loss. A homage to the late Beatle John Lennon's assasination in "3 Warning Shots" reminds the listener of Springfield's sincerity as a caring artist with depth and range.
