As good as the hype.
Far better than can really be expected from something that fits in your shirt pocket. A very bright (f1.8 - 2.8) lens gives good depth of field control. Extensive customisation allows you to set many parameters for one touch access. A great compact.

Good but...
For those of us with macbook’s the pad offers significant benefits over it’s alternatives. I love having the same control over the iMac. To say it is good value would be remiss but ‘we pays our money and we takes our choice’. I wish I could say that the track pad makes other input devices obsolete but sadly I find myself alternating between a mouse and this leaving the two connected. At the time of writing my office is cool and the trackpad surface cold to the touch. Pathetic as that may sound, it is enough to deter from its use on a winters day in the UK. Would I buy one again. Yes.. The improvement in efficiency of workflow is well worth it.

A brilliant devive
Bought to replace a, difficult to obtain and expensive, amplifier remote control for which I only needed power, volume and mute functions. I was able to set these up with the code provided then use the ‘learn’ function to set the other buttons to control a second device (Cambridge Audio music streamer). Very easy to set up and use. Highly recommended.
