Decent Player but Obsolete

Warner just announced at CES that they were going Blu-ray exclusive in May 2008. So currently the only studios still supporting HD-DVD is Universal and Paramount. There are several newspaper articles stating these two studios may also abandon HD-DVD. This player is an excellent standard DVD upscaler so you can still use it for playing regular DVDs.

Great Upgrade for Older HP Blu-ray Drives.

Great upgrade from CT10L. The CT10L could not play newer Blu-ray discs. This CT30L plays all the newer discs.
