Fantastic book for transitioning from competent descant to alto recorder
Brian Bonsor is THE recorder guru. I grew up with his Enjoy the Recorder series in the 1980s and this book, which is aimed at competent descant players who want to transition to alto/treble recorders, is excellent.

Ink flow and colour consistency is poor
I like to write in coloured inks, particularly purple and turquoise. I’ve just finished my stock of turquoise so ordered these and they arrived promptly and well packaged.
However, the flow of ink and colour intensity is really patchy and over the course of an hour, goes from quite dark and strong colour to very pale and barely readable. It’s not the pen as I’ve had it for ages and used many ink cartridges before with no issue.

Another excellent Textile Heritage design
The Heron bookmark is a design I hadn’t come across before from Textile Heritage but it looks good. The kits are always complete with everything you need (except scissors) to get going and the resultant bookmarks make great presents
