Hojojutsu by Woodman
The author / photographer couldn't have made a worse choices for presenting this book. The model (Woodman?) in a black bottomed aikido gi (kendo shita-gi) uses a martial arts black belt to tie up a black guy with black arrows for directions...and the book is in black and white PLUS the two men attacking the white man were black men. Why?
Need a second edition, reformatted, FAST.

Japan's High Schools
This is an excellent bood for anyone interested in going to work in the Japanese secondary school system. While the book is nearly 30 years old (1980 - 2011), the information is relevant because the Japanese educational system is very slow to change. The author reports on four high schools in Kobe. Each high school focuses on specific segments of the population, from the high achieving college bound to the evening highschools training technically bound students. The author also reports on the social conditions of high school teachers. A must read for ANYONE planning to teach in Japan.

Should retitle this book to "The U.S. Navy SEAL Guide to Physical Fitness".
"The U. S. Navy SEAL Guide to Fitness and Nutrition" should be retitled, "The U. S. Navy SEAL Guide to Physical Fitness". There is very little information on nutrition: 4 paragraphs and a list of ergogenic aids, their anticipated effects, and a general comment, "no known benefit", or, "some benefit reported".
Great book for SEAL 'pups'.
