AKG P-5 Perception
1 of 1 found this helpful Fantastic microphone for the money. I train voice with an old-school opera guy and this little baby handles me at my most explosive, and at my highest range (currently a B5 in full-voice, though I know it'll handle the higher notes once I'm able to reach 'em). No splosive pops or sibilance issues...just have to make sure to sing directly into the mic so it picks up a steady sound (but unlike some mics you won't need to eat the damn thing to do that, lol). I'm naturally a baritone with a deep, resonant lower-range, and it handles that without any problem, too. Overall, this is a solid mic for live vocals but it sounds good on the sample recordings I've tested it out on as well, which means I can hold off on picking up that large-diaphragm condenser mic just a little longer

Perfect in every way
Die-hard fans of Wyndorfian magic & mystique will love this album. It's only left my car's CD player once since I received it several weeks ago, and that lasted all of a day or 2. I'd bought it primarily for "Live Behind The Clouds" & "One Dead Moon", but now I'm having a real hard time determining a top-track. That's how great this disc is.
Definitely a worthy addition to your Monster Magnet collection \m/

Good value
I'm fairly happy w/ it for the short time I've had it. I havent really been able to use it as yet for the basic home-audio recording I had in mind but it seems to serve its' purpose for regular web usage. A very good value for the $$ and it shipped extremely fast
