A Christmas treasure
I have loved Robert Sabuda's Christmas Alphabet since I first found a broken-spined copy on a bookstore discount table. A dozen years later, it is still a part of the magic of Christmas for me. Maybe, in part, it is because of its beautiful fragility - it must be loved and honoured.
Treating this book with respect is something that has been taught and nurtured by the adults who have shared it with wonder-struck children. That has given its own gifts as a quiet awe fills all hearts and makes room in the busyness for the peace of this season.
I have recently purchased two copies - one for each of my children's homes.
I recommend it to hearts of every age.
