Super high quality camera, highly recommended
In daylight the quality from the 1.5 is more than good enough for a computer screen, although maybe not for a massive tv (although they do claim it’s DVD quality). The video’s are stored on an SD card and you simply connect the recording unit to a pc via the supplied USB cable and you can play the videos direct from the unit without having to actually transfer them to the pc. The supplied software allows basic editing - cutting out scenes from the footage and creating a new video from that - and while the functionality offered there is pretty basic, it's also pretty slick and will therefore still run ok on lower spec systems. The video is stored in AVI format, so it's editable by any of the other video editors available out there. The POV camera and recorder are shockproof and water proof (to 1 metre), and they use normal (or rechargeable) AA batteries, so no expensive fancy batteries to buy, and if you run short, just stop at any shop and buy batteries – easy! It’s incredibly durable – it was designed for the US military! There is a small screen on the recording unit, handy for a quick review/confirmation of what the camera's seeing/has recorded. There are various mounts supplied as standard. I've mounted the camera on the Velcro pad to my crash helmet. There are endless other options to fit it to handlebars, or other places (although the image will be more stable when attached to the rider as they absorb a lot of the bumps and shakes). The recorder unit can be slipped into a pocket, or they do harnesses for it (not included) so it can be worn externally (it is waterproof after all). It has a remote that can be worn, or I velcro mine to the bike – use that to start/stop/tag the video. I have the the recorder unit tucked up inside my jacket which keeps it nice and warm in cold weather, which probably doubles or trebles battery life. There is a built in microphone on the camera cable, however I use a separate microphone in my helmet as I found the camera cable was just too thick to comfortably fit inside the helmet. That microphone plugs into a socket in the base of the recorder unit, which means I have to leave the waterproof cover off the base, but as it's inside a very waterproof jacket I'm not worried about that lack of waterproofing. You can do far more with this camera than I have - it is supplied with cables that allow you to connect it to a TV and play the videos stored on the card direct to TV. The output can be set to PAL or NTSC. You can adjust the shot video format - size/resolution/frame rate. You can operate multiple recording units off the one remote unit. There's a magnetic attachment system for the camera supplied, suitable for maybe a cloth cap, or other thin surface. Ultimately you get what you pay for, and this is an excellent camera. If you search a well know video hosting site for motorbike rush, you can see some examples of the video I've taken with it. Final thought - now that VIO have released the HD version of this camera, the 1.5 is selling for much less than it used to - yet it's still a DVD quality camera - grab a bargain!!

    compact and lightweight
Good for small, lightweight cameras, definitely nothing heavier than a compact though. Very lightweight, so great for compact camera if weight is critical, otherwise personally I'd look for something much more substantial as this is definitely on the flimsy side.
    MSR Dragonfly Multi-Fuel Camping Stove

    Super powerful and stable stove
Super powerful and stable stove. Runs perfectly on petrol, ordinarily available everywhere! Only caveat is this is not safe to start up in a tent porch area as the initial start up would be dangerous. If not familiar with this style of stove I recommend practising with it at home - outdoors - before using it for real. You will of course need an MSR fuel bottle as that is not supplied.
