Great machine, perfectible user interface
The machine makes great soup in about 25 minutes, just as advertised. It is also reasonably easy to clean. Feature-wise it compares favorably with soup makers that are twice as expensive. Overall it is a very good machine and an outstanding value.
The user interface consists of five buttons and file LEDs and is intuitive with the exception of signalling when something goes wrong. Or as it happens not signalling. If for one reason or another (such as overfilling) the machine cannot start then it just sits there. The LED appropriate for the selected function is lit, it all looks good, except that the the heat does not turn on and overall nothing happens. Eventually one will figure out what happened by noticing that the machine does not get hot and (if the confusion persists long enough) that the blender does not kick in; some sort of signal (a beep or maybe a blinking LED) would have been nice...

Small price, long life
1 of 1 found this helpful These are long life batteries, perfect for CMOS motherboard batteries. For the price they are more than perfect for any application though.

Solid SATA II performer
This is one of the best affordable RAID cards on the market. It cost an arm and a leg when it was new but now it is very affordable. It is very flexible and offers the possibility of fully managing RAID arrays or making disks individually available to the OS. I have two cards and they have both been solid performers.
The only disadvantage is that it is a SATA II card. If you can live with this then this is definitely the card to buy.
Note that despite the dire warning the write cache has to be enabled and the StorSave profile should be set to Performance even if no battery unit is installed (you do have a good UPS for your server, right?). Otherwise the card will be painfully slow.
