A “must” for the cookery shelf
It was bought as a gift for my dearest friend who already owned Part 1. She is absolutely delighted with it and raves about it me whenever we speak
She tells me it is beautifully written and presented and gives information and advice as well as superb recipes.

Don’t Whisper ...shout out how good these books are.. The Charlie Parker series gets better and better .
John Connolly has created a “monster” but in the very best way. Charlie Parker is a flawed hero and a dark one at that and yet the reader cannot but help be drawn to him, to empathise and cheer him on - the little candle of good in a dark and evil world. His associates are as intriguing and occasionally laugh out loud funny - Connolly never allows pathos to cloud the scene, not does he preach good v evil; his skill is in taking an ordinary man (Charlie Parker) and, having submitted him to extraordinary suffering, weaves a narrative showing how even the ordinary can be forged into the extraordinary, how someone can make a difference albeit in the world of fiction. The Parker novels can be read as stand alone books and are nonetheless fascinating for all that but I recommend the series, read in order, to get the best of everything that Charlie Parker (through his creator, Connolly) haas to offer. A great book in an excellent series...... take the chance, read and be spellbound
