Dylon Machine / Hand Wash Fabric & Clothes Dye - 50g Sachets & 350g Pods

Waste not, want not
Truly Tulip Red
I needed to dye three small kitchen towels that were very old and faded. They started off beige or peach but were now a murky cream colour. I have several tea towels with strawberry motifs so chose the brightest red available for my hand towels.
I would have found a machine dye easier as I have used these before but this little sachet required an amount of table salt and a stainless steel sink. Once the towels were washed, still wet and submerged in the dye, salt and water, I had to 'stir' them for 15 minutes. I found it easy to swirl the dye around, picking up and rearranging the three towels repeatedly. Then, after a 45-minute resting period in the dye solution, they were done. I rinsed them by hand and spun them in the washing machine.
As soon as the towels were dry, I cut off any stray cotton threads and they looked vibrant, as good as new and ready to use. Waste not want not.

They write beautifully
I love these pens. They look like ink, the nib is the correct thickness and they write beautifully. My husband bought three bright blue ones in a shop by mistake and I like navy blue. Thank you.
Eucalan No Rinse Delicate Hand Wash Liquid - 100ml bottle - choice of scents

Fine for dolls' clothes
I was pleased to start using Eucalan on foreign dolls' clothes with some success. Many dolls have their clothes stitched on so, to save removing them, I have been sponging or scrubbing them with this product in situ as no rinsing is needed. The clothes, squeezed with a paper towel and then dried off in the airing cupboard, remain quite stiff afterwards but that is suitable because the skirts and dresses flare out nicely and no starch is required. The fragrance is pleasant.
