Fantastic at absorbing strikes
Use once so far on a metal folding bench with a Fretz planishing hammer. With the rubber block I did not leave a mark on the glossy paint of the bench. I was texturing 4mm sterling silver so the strikes were fairly hard given the lightness of the hammer, but with this experience I would say that the block is a pretty good tool. I will be polishing one side to reduce any marks left on precious metals but still love this block.
Great tool and brilliant seller, no problems and it arrived early.

Cannot do without the flexishaft.
This flex shaft gets a lot of work both in hand and mounted to my bench in a rotating grip. I cannot speak highly enough as it makes my work possible where hand filing and using abrasives would have been both time consuming and too much for my somewhat forever sore forearms, wrists shoulders and upper back. It's a god send for me a somewhat aging student of silversmithing.

New idea and a good one
I wasn't too sure about this product but thought it might help with removing fire scale from a 316 stainless steel tool set I had made but not finished, well talk about cut through the fire scale it literally ripped it off. I had been using 120 grit paper on a dremel but it took for ever. The Kemet gesswein stone was so good I have ordered two more grit grades.
