  Wasn’t too sure when I received the tool as the section where the tool is reduced (ground) to form the tang, looked a bit rough and at first I thought it had rust spots. I’ve cleaned those up with my Dremel, so will see how it goes. The tool was really well packed though and after roughing down 4 large oak spindle blanks, it appears to be holding its edge really well. To be honest, I’ve bought gouges for twice the price and they are half the quality in terms of keeping an edge.
