Hiking protection for a compact camera
All of my camera bags are Lowepros. Two of these are Ridge 30 bags. They are very durable and lightweight with enough padding to do the job. The zippered pouch is perfect for an extra battery or SD card. On the trail I used the belt loop on the back, when out and about I attach the shoulder strap. Although not waterproof, it seems to be well water resistant. And the size is perfect for almost any size point & shoot compact camera.

Perfect For "Bridge" Cameras
I use Lowepro almost exclusively because of their build, durability, features and price point. This case is a great choice for "bridge" cameras. Also multiple ways of attaching it to self or a pack.

One Of The Early Excellent Kodaks
The camera was produced in the early days of the consumer sales burst. It had a lot going for it: 34-102mm SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH VARIOGON lens (great sharpnes and detail), the first to have KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Technology (for in-camera processing) and the incredible KODAK Colour Science image processing chip, which gave stellar white balance and beautiful color without over saturation. And one of the best macros around!
