Flexible use data transfer solution for PCs, phones and tablets
This microSD card reader seems to be much more solid than the cheaper models that are available for under a pound from Chinese direct sellers. Due to the failure rates I've experienced with cheaper units, I now have two of these. I keep large capacity cards in both of them and they are used as multi-purpose USB thumb drives. I use the USB type A end to transfer data to and from my PC. Instead of connecting my phone to my PC to transfer data, I now use the reader's type C connector, which I find more reliable than having to try and get my PC to recognise my phone as a file transfer device.
For travelling, I wanted to have the same travel documents on both my phone and tablet. This reader allowed me to use my PC to copy all of the documents to the card in it and then, at my leisure, connect the reader to my devices and copy the documents from it (i.e. I could wait until I was on the plane to actually perform the copy to the devices). Also, if all else fails, it's good to have the option of removing the card from the reader and inserting it directly into a device (e.g. if the target device has a micro-USB connector and there is no adapter at hand).
It feels good in the hand, mostly due to the metal casing. The supplied cord works as something to attach it to a keyring but also keeps the blue plastic cap tethered to the reader and reduces the risk of losing it.
A lot of reviews mention that the casing gets hot. I'd agree that it can get quite warm but I think this is normal and not something that I'm overly concerned with.

Good pouches and pockets, comfortable strap
The way it was lined was better than I expected and the internal pockets and pouches were very useful. The strap was comfortable and it was very practical to carry around. Unfortunately, (from November) Ryanair have increased their minimum sizes for a small bag, so it's not as useful as it could be.

Not designed for Paperwhite 2018 4rh generation model
It's a decent quality case but I bought it on the basis that it was described as "Kindle Paper White 2018 Case", which it is not. It appears to be designed for the earlier, slightly larger models, of the Kindle Paperwhite, not the 2018 4th generation model. The 2018 model sits inside this case but does not click into place. I can't even say that it's better than not using a case because you risk forgetting it's not secured and having the Kindle fall out of it.
