a gamble at best

usual problem with these cheap leads .... they are made of glass, and break within a week of gentle gentle use. I bought 4 as I didn't think they would last long ... 1 in the bedroom, 1 on the mac. sure enough, within a week, the mac one failed. the classic 'boing, boing, boing' noise you get as the iPad tries to charge, then drops off. Using my old lead solved that issue, so it was clearly the new lead.
