Powerful power pack for the size and price

I bought this to replace a pneumatically actuated hydraulic jack for a small injection molding machine. Was happy with how compact it is. Pretty quiet too. Much more quiet than running an air compressor. Haven't got a lot of mileage on it yet, but right now I'm very happy with it. Wish they were a little more complete with their manual.

Exactly what I had hoped

This unit has good thermal mass and although I don't have a thermal imaging camera it seems that because of that mass large portions of the plate are usable and consistent temperature. I hooked up a k-type thermocouple to the input of a PID controller to track the temperature compared to what it was saying. The t-couple was placed on the back edge with a small slab of hollowed out aluminum over the top. The t-couple/pid after leaving the plate on for 20 minutes was showing about 5-7 C above where the plate said it was. Up and down fluctuations were nonexistent. I surface mounted about 50 boards so far and much prefer this to the toaster oven/pid control approach. Very happy with it.

High quality stainless rod

I ordered this and then called the company to see if they could cut it for me. Even though I have a horizontal bandsaw, I was pretty sure they would do a better job. And that was true. They gave me an eBay link for a cutting charge and then I had them cut me four 625 mm pieces. Nice bevel on the ends when delivered. Fit my SNS25 roller bearing perfectly. No issues.
