Kef is Hit Again
1 of 1 found this helpful I listen music with headphones since I got my first pair Koss Pro 4 in 1980 with my father receiver Panasonic this headphones is very heavy weight but the sound is very excellent in this year but I have numerous headphones in my hand like AKG 240 is another excellent headphones since I listen music with headphones recently years with superlux hd668b and Phillips SHP9500 both excellent cans I recently acquire Kef M500 headphones the story is very different with this magnificent cans I own Def speakers since 1996 and I have in my possession Kef IQ series and Q series but I cut the chase I listen my Kef M500 with 3.5mm extension cable to connect with 1/8 plug in my different tube headphones amp LittledotMK2,Littlebear P8 and my mighty Darkvoice 336SE and the sound I auditioned in the Kef M500 is very very different sound first I listen with media server music Logitech Squeezebox V3 with my Emotiva XDA 1 d/a converter when I play music in the first time I hear everything flat and not clear but I let the chance to break in 50hrs then I decided to listen the cans again the story is very different the soundstage is wide very focus sound the bass is tight not overly tight but clean the midshipmen's are very neutral with a little bit sweet and the highs very sweet and little bit extended with details the atmosphere sound in this cans are very pleasant very light weight and very very confortable to enjoy a long hrs without fatigue I will compare the sound in this Kef M500 with my old Koss Pro4 first gen,also this cans impress me more when I broke up with 100hrs the sound of this cans when I listen with familiarity digital album I hear more information when I listen music in 2ch sistem since I met with this cans I listen with this headphones and is very difficult to taken off because my ears is beg in to more music, Kef is raising the bar with Kef M500 I highly recommended to buy this headphones the only negative thin I encountered in this headphones is not include more length cable I use a 3.5mm extension cable acquire in Amazon for $6.99 10ft length but this cable is very neutral sound transfer they can"t change the original sound of this Kef M500 .
