Dreadful
This is two books in one. There's the marriage drama that interrupts the book-within-a-book, a truly appalling trashy thriller. The characters are terrible people, some of them struggling to display even one dimension, let alone three. Their reactions to events are unrealistic, bizarre. The one redeeming feature of this book are the sex scenes, scenes so clumsily written they cross into "so bad it's good" territory.
My dilemma with this book is whether to send it to a charity shop or put it straight in the recycling to spare a future reader the horror of reading this guff.
