Replacing an old one previously installed
A combiGuard was already installed in our property when we bought the house. Our previous one was a few years old and thus needed to be replaced. Should be replaced every 12 months. Easy to replace. If you contact Sentinel help desk they can talk you through the process. No plumber required. Just isolated from mains water before you start .
They are not cheap but they do help protect one's Combi boiler from limescale damage. Hopefully the cartridges become more affordable with time. It's certainly cheaper than replacing the whole boiler, which is a reality in hard water areas.

Looks good. Works as it should. It took a long time to arrive but I am happy with the product. Good value for money. I can recommend.
