Good for training
Can be used as a pacing tool with compatible watches (need barometer for power meter). If you have a garmin is a cheaper alternative than stryrd. Even if there is a discussion about which one is more accurate, as long as it is repeatable accuracy doesn't matter because is a pacing tool.
Also recommended to analyze how you are running and how economic is your run.
Vertical ratio and height can let you know if you are putting to much effort going upwards instead of forward. Your leg balance, and contact time.
Is not necessary, but is nice to have, I feel like I have benefited from it. And can remind you of obvious things that you may ignore while running.
It is super small and even though the watch alerts you to remove it you may leave it clipped to your shorts.
If not centered or have a back pocket with something that jumps along with your run it will give you bad readings. So be mindful of how, where and along with what you place it.
So if you are new, or you are looking for those marginal gains. You can greatly benefit from it.
Bought it used for $30 (maybe was new just open box) so excellent value compared to a $200+ alternative options
