Extreme Broadband Weather Proof Premise Enclosure 9 x 9 x 4 Amphenol IPE994-LTC

Perfect Solution for Low Voltage Demarcation Point
I needed a weatherproof enclosure for my new home low voltage wiring. The builder's low voltage contractor simply left various wires and a future-use conduit sticking out of the wall. Because all I currently need is Internet access, the RG6 TV cable and wiring for future alarm system features (e.g. outside siren) were left unused. This box worked perfectly to cover the demarcation point and route the Cat6 cable to the ISP interface box. The unused wires are simply rolled up and secured inside the enclosure. The backside has a 2" round hole that can be readily opened, either with a hole saw or a utility knife. Along the bottom, six or so weatherproof foam slots (too lazy to walk outside and count them) and a small removable plate for a 1/2" or 3/4" conduit fitting offer lots of options for low voltage wiring. The price is great and delivery is quick.

Honeywell EconoSwitch 7 Day Programmable Solar Light Switch Timer | RPLS741B1007

Great Programmable Switch
I recently added a third Honeywell RPLS741 programmable switch to my "automatic" outdoor light controls. I installed the first two on my outdoor floodlights over 2 years ago - never a problem with either of them. I've used other brands of "timers," including X-10 switches, but these are "set and forget," high quality, and don't require an external programmer. The switch is fairly compact which makes replacing an existing switch relatively easy. These switches do require a neutral (white) wire to work so make sure you have a white wire coming from the supply-side in the electrical box in which you plan to replace a switch. The switch is easy to program with lots of different options for "on" and "off" functions including incremental adjustments to astronomical times. These switches are fairly expensive, but they look to be a one-time cost, potentially lasting many years. By the way, the almond color is slight off from other brands of almond color - slightly darker in color - just enough for the perfectionist in me to notice and probably not noticeable to the casual observer!!
Aqua-Pure AP917HD-S Replacement Cartridge Water Systems

Excellent Water Treatment Solution with Easy-To-Change Cartridges
I'm a big fan of the 3M Aqua-Pure cartridge water systems - cartridge changes are a 5-minute task with much of the time spent finding a rag to put under the cartridge to catch a few drops of water released when removing the old cartridge. Although expensive, especially the AP917HD-S cartridge, it solves my water quality issues while providing scale protection for my water-related appliances including a tankless water heater - two solutions in one easy-to-change cartridge. The only drawback in my mind is tossing the old cartridge into the trash is a terrible waste of a good cartridge body that simply needs the media replaced. I'd sure like to find a source of "replenished" cartridges.
