A good watch
1 of 1 found this helpful Having been drawn into the series when it was first shown on TV, I was delighted to find this and believe it is well worth watching. It uses anticipation and imagination rather than the current desire for gore and special effects. It hasn't lost its appeal for me!

The original magnificent spoof movie with a less than perfect sequel
I bought this as I love Airplane! and laugh every time I watch it. I wasn't aware that they had made a sequel. Unfortunately, they use the same gags in the sequel but try to update them and fail. The sequel is not a laugh out loud film, unlike the original

One of Clint's better movies
This is Clint Eastwood at his simmering best. Maybe a bit slushy for some, but I love the film, and Meryl Streep turns in a stunning performance. Clint Eastwood has matured well, and there is no violence in this film. He just makes the part fit him, and does it well.
